Second Degree Ceremony and Masters Night

Tuesday 25th February was a wonderful occasion at Castle Grove Masonic Hall. Not only was there a 2nd degree ceremony performed by the brethren of The Lodge of Dawn, with Bro. Bernard Nelson being passed, but ten of the Leeds Masters were visitors to the Lodge of Dawn. In total there were 32 visitors from 19 different lodges and a total of 78 diners at a very lively Festive Board.

The visiting Masters of the Leeds Lodges were;
* James Baird, Aurora Lodge 4047
* Lee Grayshan, Lodge of Fidelity 289
* Stuart Harrison, Lodge of Stability 7374
* Lawrence Davison, Loyalty Lodge 4971
* Gareth Davis, Philanthropic Lodge 304
* Alan Hooks, Pilgrim Lodge 7728
* Jason Jeffers, St Michaels Lodge 4353
* Stefan Kurth, St Wilfreds Lodge 6395
* WM, The Lodge of The Morning Star 5428
* Andrew Garnett, Thoresby Lodge 4920
* Peter Allan, Three Roses Lodge 7110
* Richard Knockton, Zetland Lodge 1311

The charity raffle on the night raised £442 and on top of that the Leeds Masters added a further £55. All proceeds will be going to St Georges Crypt in Leeds. The ceremony and the Festive Board that followed were great examples of two of the tenets of Freemasonry, ‘brotherly love’ and ‘relief’.u
