The Lodge goes on a Spa visit

On Wednesday 15th February 16 brethren from The Lodge of Dawn ranging from our newest Fellowcraft to a Grand Lodge Officer descended upon Spa Lodge in Harrogate for a fraternal visit. The visit was arranged by our mutual member, W Bro. Derek Sendrove and the lodge Social Secretary, W Bro Philip Myers.

The ceremony performed was an initiation, excellently delivered by the whole team from Spa Lodge. In addition, we were all honoured by the presence of the Provincial Grand Master RW Bro. James Newman.

After the ceremony the brethren of the Lodge of Dawn were treated to a tasty festive board whilst enjoying the company of new, and old, acquaintances. The evening was crowned by an hilarious masonic joke, told by our own WM, as part of the response to the visitors’ toast.

Visiting other lodges is one of the highlights of Freemasonry. It is a major part of the social side of Freemasonry, giving everyone the opportunity to meet, and make new, friends and acquaintances as well as watching ‘same but different’ ceremonies. The Lodge of Dawn is very active in arranging lodge visits and you can read all about all of our most recent visits here.
