Three and a Third

The May 2022 ceremony saw not only the first of the Lodge’s 2021 initiates raised to become a Master Mason, but also recognition of three Provincial Honours.

Leeds Solicitor Richard Casden, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, and who took part in the previous week’s Junior Masters Night, became our latest Master Mason.

Earlier in the month, four of the Lodge’s most senior brethren received Provincial honours; three were promotions and one an acting office. Two of them were in the Lodge to receive their collars.

W. Bro Philip Dante was given his first Provincial office, that of Acting Assistant Grand Sword Bearer. The hard work and commitment of our Preceptor, W. Bro Raymond Diamond, was recognised with a promotion to the rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden.

W. Bro Simon Fellerman was awarded a Grand Lodge promotion; to the rank of Past Junior Grand Deacon in recognition of his sterling work at UGLE within the masonic charities. This is the highest grand rank that anyone at The Lodge of Dawn has ever received.

All the brethren of the Lodge are delighted by the honours bestowed on our fellow brothers.
